About the Rural Physiotherapy Group

The physiotherapy team at the School of Rural Health has a mission to
improve the provision of health care in rural communities.

The aim is to promote a strong, satisfied and well educated health professional workforce. This will be achieved through education, research and professional support in collaboration and consultation with local health providers and the community.

Rural physiotherapists and allied health professionals are in demand and increasingly being recognised as important in maintaining and creating healthy communities. These professions are attractive for people interested in health sciences and practitioners become skilled and responsive to the needs of their communities.
