Promote rural practice to undergraduate physiotherapy students

Promote rural practice through the development and delivery of rural programs for undergraduate physiotherapy students.

Provide professional support for rural physiotherapy practitioners

Increase the accessibility of postgraduate programs and professional development opportunities for rural physiotherapists.

Increase research activities in rural physiotherapy issues  

Undertake research that is relevant to rural physiotherapy practice and increase the capacity of rural clinicians to undertake research.

Develop workforce strategies for rural health professionals

Research and develop strategies to address rural recruitment and retention of physiotherapists, incorporating evidence-based models, which have been successful in other jurisdictions/states/countries, and outcomes of the Victorian Universities Rural Health Consortium allied health workforce project.
