Continuing Education
The School of Physiotherapy provides a variety of continuing education
opportunities for physiotherapists and allied health practitioners.
Short Courses Calendar
The School of Physiotherapy offers a range of short courses both locally and overseas, refer Short Courses Calendar.
Single Subjects
Qualified physiotherapists and other allied health professionals may take a single subject from the Master of Physiotherapy by Coursework under the Community Access Program (CAP). For those thinking of returning to study after a break, taking a single subject under CAP is an excellent way to "try it out" and to develop some postgraduate study skills.
Some subjects are taught and assessed over a full semester and other subjects are taught in an intensive teaching block (with assessment over the full semester). Please check the timetable for each subject. Note that not all subjects are offered every year.
Application and enrolment is through the Community Access Program of the University. Local applicants may enrol on either an assessed or non-assessed basis. Under certain conditions, successfully completed assessed subjects may be considered for credit towards a postgraduate degree.

513-659 Academic Writing, Ethics and Critical Enquiry

English Language Requirements
For assessed single semester subjects from degree courses of the School you will need to meet the University English language requirements.
For non-assessed continuing education courses, short courses or single semester subjects from higher degree programs you are not required to meet the University English language requirement. However your English language skills need to be at a sufficient standard to benefit from the instruction. You should still check the University requirements to see what an expected level of competency would be.
Courses Conducted at your Venue
We provide short professional development courses at local, country, interstate or overseas centres. A range of study areas are offered, including musculoskeletal (manipulative), sports, women's health (exercise, continence and pelvic floor rehabilitation) and cardiopulmonary physiotherapy.
