Single subject 513-642 Exercise for Women is available in 2009 under the Community Access Program.
The course aims to further enhance physiotherapists' knowledge and skills in the field of exercise for women and will develop knowledge of advanced standing in functional anatomy, physiology, pathology, obstetrics and gynaecology, and the interaction in the physiotherapeutic management of women's health through exercise. The course will also develop advanced practical and clinical skills in the management of women's health through exercise.
Course Structure
The Postgraduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Exercise for Women) is taught in semester two. One of the specialist subjects is taught via weekly classes, while the other is taught in a one week intensive teaching block in September. Over the remainder of the semester, assignments are submitted and clinical practice placements are completed.
