Gail Nelson
Gail was a student in the Master of Physiotherapy by Coursework (Cardiothoracic) degree in 2005. Making the decision to attend the University of Melbourne to pursue a Master's Degree in Cardiothoracic Physiotherapy was an easy one. The University's reputation for offering excellent courses of study had preceded it, and I was encouraged by my colleagues in Jamaica to "go for it!" I now dare to say that my expectations have been exceeded. The administrative and academic staff have not only demonstrated genuine interest in my personal welfare as an international student, but they have exercised flexibility in ensuring that my course of study will equip me to meet the specific demands of my job. I have found the courses to be well structured, and the quality of the lecture sessions is commendably high. Lecturers and tutors are accessible and available to assist with research and/or assignments. The various student support services available have also helped to make a challenging experience a rewarding one as well. I am quite excited about returning to my job armed with the clinical exposure gained here. |
