Transitioning to the Melbourne Model in the School of PhysiotherapyPhysiotherapy will have a final intake into the current Bachelor of Physiotherapy course in 2009. There will be no intake into the current course in 2010. The current course will be replaced from 2011 with a new graduate level professional degree - Doctor of Physiotherapy. Under the Melbourne Model, Physiotherapy students will graduate with a Doctor of Physiotherapy as well as a Bachelor Degree. The first people will graduate with these dual qualifications in 2013 and will be in a strong position to enhance their careers in Physiotherapy. The Melbourne Model involves curriculum reform aimed at creating an outstanding and distinctive "Melbourne Experience" for undergraduate and graduate students.
