Kelly-Ann Bowles (nee Page), B Sc (Human Movement Science)

Kelly-Ann completed her Human Movement degree at the University of Wollongong and after spending a year working in the fitness industry she spent two years at the Australian Institute of Sport in a post graduate scholarship position in the Biomechanics Department.

After initially returning to the University of Wollongong to complete a Master's degree, she converted to a PhD after being offered an Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) to complete her thesis. Kelly is in the final stages of submitting her thesis titled " Sports brassiere design for active women". As a result of her work Kelly has received many awards including the 2000 Best New NSW Talent in Applied Sports Medicine Research Award, from the NSW Sporting Injuries Committee, and the Wendy Ey Women in Sport Award at the 2002 Australian Conference of Science and Medicine in Sport.

Kelly now holds a full time Research Fellow position at the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine where she is responsible for the coordination of a NHMRC funded study investigating the effects if shoe insoles in patients with knee osteoarthritis.
