Cardiothoracic Research Group Overview
This group investigates clinical and physiological outcomes in acute cardiothoracic conditions including in ICU, acute surgical and medical patients and in pulmonary rehabilitation. Current projects include the effects of gastro-oesophageal reflux in cystic fibrosis, risk factor screening and quantitative measurement of mobility by physiotherapists in acute surgical patients, the effects of oxygen and pulmonary rehabilitation in COPD, management of patients in the intensive care unit and cardiothoracic education of undergraduate physiotherapists.
